Visual Art – Houston
Kimmie is an abstract impressionist with a specialization in maps. Using acrylic paint and modeling paste, Kimmie creates unique patterns & lines representing major highways, roads, and state lines. She began her journey by creating her own Texas and Houston maps for her home. Every time someone came over they would offer her money to take the maps home. Kimmie decided to start making maps for other people. Her favorite part is hearing why her clients choose their map location and the story behind it. Recently Kimmie has been building her brand, creating new color palettes of her Houston and Texas maps, takes on commissions, showcases her work at local markets & shows, and even paints murals around Houston.
