Visual Art – Boston

After spending a greater part of my life in school pursuing degrees in health-related disciplines, and attempting to climb the corporate ladder, I realized there is more to life than 4 office walls and a computer. Floral design has always been my hobby and a way to express myself. After been laid off from my boring office job, I decided to dive into the new career of floral design and see how it goes. I was fortunate enough to learn from and work with the world-renowned designers and be acknowledged for my work by family, friends and peers. They are the ones who encouraged me and supported my career-changing decision. Currently, I work as a custom designer at Winston Flowers, Boston’s premier florist and loving it!!! When designing, I don’t only think of flowers: I love working with alternative media, unusual botanicals, using them in uncommon ways and blending classical principles of floral design with abstract expressionism. While constantly striving to learn and try new techniques and styles, I attend classes and conferences and learn from floral artists around the world. I exhibited my designs at The Philadelphia International Flower Show and World Association of Flower Arrangers show and received honorable mentions at both. My designs were also featured twice in the Floral Design magazine.
