Visual Art – Cincinnati

My work stems from the desire for knowledge, a method of self-discovery as I dig through a mass of information and forgotten names. I take the old, using it as a platform to build upon as a means of creating something new. At the same time, I try to use aspects of writing, creating background information for what has been lost over time, preserving a more informative visual record than what has been left behind and lost due to the lack of oral transmission. My goal is to breathe life back into a forgotten body that has been left to decay over time while the world leaves an overgrowth of excess information around it. In a sense, my goal is to explore memory or a lack there of.
