My favorite thing about illustration is being able to educate myself about the subjects I paint and subsequently teaching others about the content of my work. I enjoy connecting art with cultural knowledge and respect, and because of that I've found people to be my go to subject matter. Portrait art is a passion that I am very glad to have found in my life, and I feel like it's allowed me to become a more understanding, studious, and detail oriented person.
