Visual Art – Charlotte
Teresa was born in Rochester, NY- but has called Charlotte, NC home for the last 25 years. Art is something that has always come naturally to her; from sketching cartoons at 10 years old, to picking up her first paint brush in high school- as she matured, so did her work. Her pieces focus on the experiences and psyche of the African American woman. She aims to use her art to highlight the strength, stereotypes, mythology, and beauty that are all vital threads in the fabric of living life as a black woman.
