Photography – Calgary
I'm Rex. I've been studying digital photography seriously for two years and have had a passion for both the arts and sciences my entire life. I currently reside and operate in Calgary but have aspirations to travel and live abroad in the coming years to expand my experience and appease my hungry soul. I live on the edge in a somewhat untraditional way: utilizing a broad, multivariate perspective, and a deep devotion to the truths of Life, I aim for what I call a 'polarized harmony'; I explore every option and seek the natural balance, walking the line drawn by inherent universal tensions. Writing, videography, and digital art are a few of my other creative interests, and I have spent a decade of my life studying a multitude of sciences and humanities at a post-secondary level... Like most art, mine focuses on emotionally-coloured imagery, embedded with meaning and mystery. Vintage and futuristic, shrouded and radiant, intense and serene—the list of spectrums I work with is endless. But the most persistent theme of my work is the idea of overcoming great obstacles and the empowerment of the unique individual through emboldened exploration. It is a story about rediscovering and communicating Spirit.
