Hi everyone! My name is Sophie and I am a Scientific Illustrator. Scientific Illustration is the art of visually communicating scientific concepts for education. Scientific illustrations can be seen in science textbooks, poster diagrams at a doctor’s office, and in homes for anyone to enjoy! In my work, I am inspired by botanicals, frogs, and other small creatures. I primarily use watercolor and graphite pencil to render my illustrations. Personally, I believe that as humans our eyes can become desensitized to the little details of our everyday. In my artwork, I aim to reintroduce our eyes to the beauty and small treasures of the natural world.
