Visual Art – Sydney
Opie is a Sydney based Artist, working mainly within the medium of painting. She graduated last year from the National Art School, with her BFA (Hons).
Since she has been working on a new body of work that represents perceptual and psychological spaces, as well as states of being, explored through the vessel of abstraction. Her layered autonomous mark making expresses an ongoing dialogue she has with each art work, using the immediacy of marks, as well as multiple layers of paint, to determine an abstract narrative that is reflective on each state of being experienced by the artist.
