Visual Art – Los Angeles
Sarah Butler likes making things.
Currently based in Los Angeles, Sarah has been photographing special people, places, and things since being gifted her father’s Canon Rebel in 2008 & has been sewing and writing since as long as she can remember.
Her flowerhead wearable sculpture has been featured in interactive installation performances, including DTLA’s Art Walk in 2017 in collaboration with visual artists Laurie Shapiro and Darren Sarkin. The Guest House, her most recent collection of photography, embroidery, & poetry work, was shown as a part of Seattle’s Capitol Hill Art Walk in March 2019.
Sarah graduated from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA with a BFA in Dance and has been a founding member of Ate9 Dance Company since 2012.
